Security Officer (Unarmed) + Crowd Control

Our comprehensive training program includes an introduction to the private security industry, legal studies, ethical standards, performance management, team work, communication skills, risk management, incident management, reporting, security officer duties and responsibiilites, crowd controller responsibilities, defensive techniques and first aid. This program incorporates a combination of thoery and practice through presentations, group discussions, role plays and self paced learning.

Course Outcomes

On successful completion of this program, participants will be provided with a Certificate II in Security Operations (Qualification), Partial Certificate III in Security Operations (Statement of Attainment), First Aid Certificate and may apply to the Office of Fair Training for a Securiy Officer (Unarmed) / Crowd Controller Licence.

Prerequisites

Must be 18 years or age or older and have had no criminal convictions in previous 10 years to be eligible for a Security Providers Licence. Note. Driving offences (eg. speeding, drink driving, etc) are not normally disqualifying offences.

Licensing

The Office of Fair Trading charge $320.50 to apply for a Security Providers Licence and Criminal History Check. This is not included in the course fee. You cannot gain employment as a Security Officer or Crowd Controller until you have received your licence (approx 3 - 4 weeks after application).

Duration

Option 1 (Face-to-Face) - 6 days in class. Classes are Monday - Saturday from 8.45am to 4.30pm

Option 2 (External) - Self paced study from home. Commence at anytime and attend 2 days in class to complete the practical component. The practical component for the External courses is conducted on the last two days of the Full Time courses. Additional External courses may be conducted on Weekends and/or evenings. Contact us for more information.

The cost of this course is $700
